EXECUTIVE SUMMARY OF RECENT RESEARCH FINDINGS ON C-LEVEL INTROVERTS:Coni's research study surveyed over 100 C-level leaders. She found that by generalizing “introvert” and “extrovert” the wrong signals are being sent to aspiring leaders, recruiters, and organizational development professionals. To truly predict which leaders are likely to be top performers, recruitment, selection, and development practices need to look beyond the personality trait labels of ‘introvert’ and ‘extrovert’ to understand the aspects of communalism and assertiveness. Extroversion/Introversion and its aspects are heritable, neurologically hard-wired, and stable.
